Tonight’s guest has written three devotional books for teenaged girls, was part of a team that created a biblezine for girls and has been published online and in a number of print publications. Arts Connection for Monday, August 1, 2016 - Johnny Wideman - New Theatre of the Beat play: "Yellow Bellies"

Theatre of the Beat has been known to tackle challenging social justice topic such as draft dodging, marriage, justice and homosexuality in its plays. The company’s latest production Yellow Bellies, was performed earlier this month at the Global Mennonite Peacebuilding Conference and Festival in Waterloo and looked at the stories of Conscientious Objectors during World War Two.

With seven GMA Canada Covenant Awards and a Juno Award nomination to his credit, tonight’s guest’s latest CD, The Light in Us, chronicles a season of healing and restoration. Singer/songwriter Jon Bauer describes the music on the CD as an outcome of “a healing journey I have been on the last couple of years as I have leaned on the faithfulness of God even when I have not felt Him near.”.
