One of C.S. Lewis’ first published works was a collection of poetry published under the pen name of Clive Hamilton. Lewis, who died the same day as John F. Kennedy—November 22,1963—and both his poetry and prose, have been significant influences for tonight’s guest, poet D.S. Martin ( and, whose latest collection of poems, Conspiracy of Light, pays homage to that influence.
