Arts Connection for April 26, 2012 - Colin Bernard - "Hold On" EP

The title track from “Hold On,” Colin Bernard’s latest EP, is climbing the charts on Christian radio in his hometown of Ottawa and across the country. Bernard's EP, produced by Ed and Scott Cash in Nashville, is a family affair: Colin co-writes with his brother Joel and his wife Monica providing background harmonies. Colin talks about his music, ministry and EP.

Songs from Amy Savin’s debut CD Skylines  have been featured on indie films, Christian radio and TV. Her break came when she won first prize in a singing competition. The judges’ feedback, free recording time and exposure to key players in the music industry were key to helping her career. Amy talks about her music, ministry and CD.

This month Sanctuary and the Bench Theatre Initiative explore the questions of of appearance versus reality, the limits of charity, and the ways we impose ourselves into the lives of others in their production of The Elephant Man—with a combined cast of professional and street-involved actors, including Sanctuary staff member, and tonight’s guest, Lyf Stolte, who  talks about his journey in the dramatic arts, his ministry at Sanctuary and the upcoming performances of The Elephant Man.

Such events include 100 Huntley Street, Kingdom Bound, Youth Retreats, Coffee Houses, Churches, and the Women’s Prison. She talks about her music, ministry and Shining Star experience.
