Arts Connection for Monday, September 5, 2016 - Susan Doherty - "A Secret Music," Grace Irwin Prize

Susan Doherty (http://susandohertyhannaford.com/) has combined her interests in music and de-stigmatizing mental health issues to create the award-winning novel A Secret Music. The book, her first novel, which is set in Montreal during the 1930s, follows the story of a fifteen year-old piano prodigy who grows up in the shadow of his mother’s mental illness and was the winner of this year's Grace Irwin Prize (Canada’s largest literary prize for Christian writers).

Interludes feature music from Mike Janzen's CD Nudging Forever.
