To celebrate the occasion, Bell has released Pilgrimage, a box-set with four CDs and a mini-biography. Also recently released has been the documentary Burning Ember: the Steve Bell journey chronicles the life of one of Canada’s enduring Christian troubadours.

He even wrote The Media and the Message a few years ago to help churches and Christian organizations to tap into the good side of the mass media. Now Barrie Doyle (http://www.barriedoyle.com/) is telling another story in his first novel The Excalibur Parchment which will be published this fall.

Tonight’s guest is an award-winning printmaker whose work has been exhibited in galleries in Canada, the U.S., Holland, China, England, Korea, Russia, Scotland, Italy, Japan, Poland, Taiwan and the Ukraine. Dan Steeves (http://dansteeves.com/) is also a printmaking technician/lecturer at Mount Allison University in New Brunswick and was recently the first prize winner in The Open Studio’s annual National Printmaking Awards.
 

The recent suicide of actor and comedian Robin Williams once again brought the topic of mental illness out of the shadows where it became trending topic on Twitter, Facebook and other social media forums. Even Christians, and artists who are Christian have struggled with these challenges. On this show I’ve interviewed people who have openly discussed their struggles with depression, anxiety and body image.
