Welcome to the final broadcast of Arts Connection
In June 2011, the first broadcast of a new program which looked at the intersection of faith, art and Canadian culture was heard on this station. In the six-plus years since, Arts Connection has featured hundreds of artists from across the country including musicians and writers, visual artists and photographers, poets and playwrights.
Tonight’s guest is best known for her Redemption’s Edge trilogy of suspense novels. But Janet Sketchley(https://janetsketchley.ca/) has recently published A Year of Tenacity—a devotional based on the best of her devotionals from her “Tenacity” blog. Janet is on the phone with us tonight from her home in Halifax, Nova Scotia to talk about A Year of Tenacity.
Our guest tonight has been hosting a city-wide outreach in Guelph for the last number of years. Joy in the Park is a day-long celebration of worship, praise, prayer and unity – which have long been the vision of worship leader Michael Austin Harris, who is with us to night to talk about Joy in the Park.
Tonight’s guest is a singer/songwriter who has toured Canada and Europe and was recently featured in an Imago artists showcase. Jeanine Noyes says her favourite gigs are the ones where she’s connecting with an audience no matter the size of the gathering. Jeanine is on the phone with us from her home in Toronto to talk about her music.
