Guelph’s Audience of One Christian Theatre Company is, in theatre talk, treading the boards again this month. The company’s fourth production, The Dream, takes a look at the Easter story from the perspective of Pontius Pilate, the Roman governor of Judea who reluctantly sentenced Jesus to be crucified.

Arts Connection for Monday, April 25, 2016 - Dorene Meyer - "First Nations Christian Writers - Volume 1" anthology

Veteran writer Dorene Meyer launched Goldrock Press to help give a voice to First Nations Christian writers. The publisher recently  launched the first volume of an anthology of essays, poems and stories by 16 First Nations writers ranging in age from 16 to 79 and Dorene is on the phone from her home office in Norway House, Manitoba to talk about the book.

As part of their final year the most committed of Redeemer University College’s art students take part in an exhibit. This year’s features five students who, along with their professor, Phil Irish (to the right in the photo), are hoping to present their work off-campus during one of Hamilton’s Art Crawl events. On her website bio, tonight’s guest says after spending 25 years in advertising design, and following the death of her husband, she made a career change. Faye Hall (http://fayehall.com/) began working as the administrative assistant for Winnipeg singer/songwriter Steve Bell and through exposure to various art forms re-awakened her love of painting, which she shows in her recently-published book ART begets ART.
