Arts Connection for July 4, 2013 - Karla Adolphe - Aftermath of the High River Flood

Singer/songwriter Karla Adolphe (http://www.karlaadolphe.ca/) is one of the 13,000 residents evacuated from the Alberta community of High River after floods. In blog posts she’s written about the event, Karla has talked about watching people delivered to the fire hall in gravel trucks and how her husband, Gary, a volunteer fireman, has continued helping with recovery efforts. Karla phoned us from her temporary home and shared her experiences about the flood and what those affected by the flood need.
