Arts Connection for Monday, April 7, 2014 - Ins Choi - Kim's Convenience and Subway Stations of the Cross

Since it was initially produced for the 2011 Toronto Fringe Festival, Ins Choi’s play Kim’s Convenience has had its share of success: opening the 15th anniversary season of the Soulpepper Theatre, being staged recently in Ottawa and Winnipeg and soon to hit the Citadel Theatre in Edmonton. And there’s been talk of both a film and television series versions of the play rooted in both Ins experience as a Korean-Canadian and the story of the prodigal son. And, despite the busyness with Kim’s Convenience, Ins still has time to mount his one-man show Subway Stations of the Cross recently in Winnipeg and upcoming in Toronto. Ins is on the phone with us to talk about his busy life.
