Theatre of the Beat has been known to tackle challenging social justice topic such as draft dodging, marriage, justice and homosexuality in its plays. The company’s latest production Yellow Bellies, was performed earlier this month at the Global Mennonite Peacebuilding Conference and Festival in Waterloo and looked at the stories of Conscientious Objectors during World War Two. Our guest is Theatre of the Beat artistic director and Yellow Bellies co-author Johnny Wideman.
