Research into the symbolic meaning of fruit, flowers and insects used in art during the Renaissance and the Victorian Tussie Mussie eras gave tonight’s guest the inspiration for her paintings. Guelph artist Sylvia Woods recently opened the exhibit titled “Floriography” – a collection of these floral paintings – at the Kitchener Public Library’s Central location. Sylvia is on the phone with us from Winnipeg to talk to talk about her art and work.
