Painter Josh Tiessen (http://joshtiessen.com) starts the artist’s statement on his website with: “Although I have experimented with a variety of subject matter, in my photography and acrylic paintings I most frequently choose nature and wildlife, as I believe God created the world and I take delight in emphasizing its beauty, particularity and diversity.” What’s amazing about this clarity of vision is that it comes from an 18-year-old painter who began drawing and painting as a pre-schooler while his parents were missionaries in Russia.
