As Canada nears its 150th anniversary as a nation, a number of ministries have been looking back on the impact the Christian faith has had in the country’s history. The Bible League Canada recently published the book One Dominion: Celebrating Canada Prepared for a Purpose. The Chatham, Ontario-based Bob Beasley is the Bible League Canada’s vice-president of International Ministry and one of the co-authors of the book.

Now the group has added book publisher to their resume with the release of the book Fearless: Free in Christ in an Age of Anxiety. Three of 1:11 Ministries members wrote the book: dancer Carolyn Curry and writer Rachel Starr Thomson.

Storytelling, which is as old as the first time someone sat around a fire and described how they tracked and killed their latest meal, takes many forms. This coming weekend three different type of storytellers will combine for an evening of story and song. Brad Woods, along with playwright Ins Choi will use words while the Great Wooden Trio will use song.
