Tonight’s guest has been busy promoting his new CD In the Blood with concerts in cafés, restaurants and practically anywhere else he can set up his guitar and amp. Kev Morse, who is also part of the local roots group, The Great Wooden Trio, is expanding his horizons with his second solo CD and is on the phone with us tonight to talk about his music.
Anne LeBold Douglas (http://www.annelebolddouglas.com/) is a communications consultant who has also studied theology and passionate about playing, watching and talking about hockey. So it only seemed natural that her debut young adult novel, Breaking the Ice, would be about hockey-playing teenage girls. Anne talkes about her new novel from her home at a Circle Square Camp near Ottawa, Ontario.
Tonight’s guest has written more than 70 books including non-fiction and children’s books. With Consider the Sunflowers, Elma Schemenauer (http://elmams.wix.com/sflwrs) has written her first adult novel, a love story set in the 1940s which draws on her own Mennonite heritage.
About five and half years ago, the book publishing and distribution company tonight’s guest worked for went out of business, leaving her without a job. Within days, Ellen Graf-Martin had connected with some of the publishers she’d worked with at R.G. Mitchell asked her if she’d consider starting her own agency and continue doing public relations for them.
It’s been four years since Dana Marie Storrs (http://danamariemusic.com/)won Faith FM 94.3’s Shining Star vocal competition and released her first CD. Dana Marie recently released What You See, her second CD and talks about the release and her music ministry.
