 Langley BC musician Jeannette Petkau (http://www.jeannettepetkau.com/) has been singing since she was a little girl, taking the plunge into the waters of a musical career about 20 years ago. Unshakable features Jeannette’s most personal songs to date and features a collaboration with Nashville’s Creative Soul Records.

Arts Connection for August 30, 2012 - Jessica Ortiz - Film festival focuses on social justice

In early August patrons had a chance to get a taste of this year’s Toronto Cornerstone International Film Fest (http://tciff.com/). This is the first year for the festival which focuses on social justice through film, faith and forum. Jessica Ortiz directs the October 27 and 28 event and she’s talks about the TCIFF’s origins and purpose.

Crossroads - reflections from a shattered mirror

Getting people to agree on a definition of art is like getting a dozen Toronto Maple Leafs fans to agree on why the team hasn’t won a Stanley Cup since 1967. For the record, I blame former owner Harold Ballard. But I digress.
