Today marks the beginning of a project that’s been percolating in the recesses of my mind for a few years now: a book on the intersection of faith, arts and Canadian culture.

Arts Connection for August 2, 2012 - Isobelle Gunn - latest CD

Isobelle Gunn -- a folk trio comprising Jeremy Zeyl, Lara Schat-Zeyl and Leanna Zeyl - began singing together in the spring of 2006 and have recorded a debut EP and two full-length CDs in that time. This sister-brother/husband-wife group relies on blended vocals and lyrics that evoke the best in today’s storyteller musicians. Jeremy Zeyl talks about the band's history and music.

Arts Connection for July 19, 2012 - Jason Goode, Dylan Jenkinson - filmmakers, Cannes Film Festival

When Telefilm Canada contacted Jason Goode, who forwarded the e-mail to his partner, Dylan Jenkinson, to tell them their film was chosen to be part of a howcase at the Cannes festival, they leapt at the chance to attend the prestigious film festival. But getting to France wasn’t easy. We'll hear about the Vancouver filmmakers'  (http://www.jenkinson-goode.com/) experiences at the film festival and what led up to the filmmaking partnership.
