Arts Connection for June 20 - James Tughan - Flagship Gallery opening

A new art gallery has opened in Hamilton with the unique perspective of displaying art by those who work from a “broadly conceived Christian worldview.”  Artist and educator James Tughan (http://jamestughan.blogspot.ca/) is one of those involved with the start-up of the Flagship Gallery and he’s on hand to give us some insight into the gallery’s aim and establishment.

Arts Connection for May 30, 2013 - Susan Acheson - Toronto Fringe play: "A King's Heart"

Area Fringe Festivals are fast becoming a proving ground for Christian who want to further their theatre skills. Both Ins Choi’s hit play Kim’s Convenience and Diane Johnstone’s Desperate Church Wives have been Fringe hits in Toronto and Hamilton, respectively.

Arts Connection for May 23, 2013 - Ainsley Boyd - Photography exhibit

While accompanying a palaeontology expedition, taking pictures of fossils, tonight’s guest discovered a discarded and waterlogged photography portfolio. Photographer Ainsley Boyd (http://ainsleyboyd.com/index.html) has taken these photos and turned them into the Fossil’s exhibit running until May 31 at Toronto’s Earl Selkirk Gallery. Ainsley’s taking a few moments out of her honeymoon to talk with us about this exhibit and her budding photography career.

Arts Connection for May 16, 2013 - Sandra Orchard - Suspense Romance novelist

This program's guest is an award-winning novelist who specializes in the romance mystery genre. Her latest novel, published by Revell Books, will be on store shelves in June and features a heroine who puts her own life in peril by refusing to believe a mentor’s death was anything but a murder.
